If one had but a single glance to give the world, one should gaze on Istanbul
Welcome to Istanbul… Upon arrival to Ataturk airport, you will be transferred to the hotel and free time… After all our guests’ arrival, briefing at the hotel about the program and first visits.
We will start the tour with an afternoon visit to Sahabe Graves who died in front of the city walls of Konstantiniyye in 7th C. Next visit will be to one of the most important points of Istanbul, The tomb and mosque of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari who accommodated Prophet Mohammed in Medina and Abu Ayyub died in Istanbul during the First Arab Siege of Constantinople. Today’s last visit will be to Arab Mosque which was built during the Arab Siege of Constantinople in 717–18 by the Umayyad prince and general Maslama ibn Abd al-Malik.
Dinner and overnight is at the hotel.
Passing through the Golden Horn and the Bosphorus Bridge, you will have chance to see many highlights of this unique city which served as an imperial capital for almost 16 Centuries during Roman, Byzantine and Ottomans…
After about 3 hours drive, you will reach Nicaea, captured by Orhan I in 1331 and became the capital of expanding Ottomans for a short period. City Walls and Gates, Hagia Sophia Museum, Nilufer Hatun Museum, Ancient tile workshops will be the highlights of the day… After the tour, drive to Bursa and
lunch break…. (Around 1 hour)
After a short brief at the hotel, you will start to discover Bursa, the first capital of Ottomans. Bursa Castle, Osman & Orhan Gazi Tombs are the first visits… And then, Great Mosque which was built at the end of 14th C and has the greatest examples of Islamic calligraphy in the world. Koza Han – Bursa Silk Market is the next point to visit. Green Mosque and Green Tomb, will be the highlights of the day from Ottoman Era.
After a short briefing at the hotel, drive to Cumalikizik which was founded as a vakif village and well protected architectural structures of the early Ottoman period are still intact. Cumalikizik was named because people gathered there on Fridays for Juma pray. After a free time for lunch we will then drive to Edirne through Istanbul (3 hours). On the way to Edirne, we will stop by in a small city, Luleburgaz which is known for its sixteenth-century Mosque & Kulliye named after the Grand Vizier Sokollu Mehmet Paşa and designed by the Ottoman chief architect Sinan.
After the visit in Luleburgaz, drive to Edirne (1 hour)… Edirne became the second capital of the empire and is famed for its unique artifacts from Ottoman Period… Check-in and the rest of the day at leisure…

First stop will be The Selimiye Mosque, built in 1575 and designed by Ottomans’ greatest master architect, Sinan (c. 1489/1490–1588), is one of the most important monuments in the city. It has the highest minarets in Turkey, carrying the name of the Ottoman Sultan Selim II (r. 1566–1574), this mosque futures Turkish marble handicrafts, and it is covered with valuable tiles and fine paintings. Another notable mosques are Eski Cami (Old Mosque), and Burmalı Cami (Serpent Mosque).
Besides the mosques, the most prominent place being the Edirne Palace (Ottoman Turkish: Saray-ı Cedid-i Amire for “New Imperial Palace”) in Sarayiçi quarter, built during the reign of Murad II (r. 1421– 1444). Although the buildings of the palace and its bath (Kum Kasrı Hamamı) are in ruined form, the palace gate and the palace kitchen facility are restored. The Kasr-ı Adalet (“Justice Castle”), built as part of the palace complex, stands intact next to the small Fatih Bridge over the Tunca river. The last visit is to Another notable building in the area, Sultan Bayezid II Kulliye & Health Museum, an important monument with its complex construction comprising many facilities used in those times. After breakfast at the hotel, we will start to discover the rest of the city…
Starting with the historic Karaağaç Railway Station that hosts today, after redevelopment, the Trakya University’s Faculty of Fine Arts in Karaağaç suburb of Edirne. Next to it, the Treaty of Lausanne Monument and Museum are situated. Edirne has several historic stone arch bridges crossing over the rivers Meric and Tundzha, which flow around west and south of the city.
We will drive to Istanbul (3 hours)… Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and free time. After a briefing at the hotel at a determined time, we will get to one of the most magnificent and famous artifact, Suleymaniye Mosque and Complex… Dinner & Overnight in Istanbul…
After a short brief at the hotel, drive to Istanbul to discover the sites of the preriod between the conquest and of the fall of the Ottoman Empire.
We will start with Panorama 1453 Museum, unique with 3D vision of the conquest on its dome… The next stop is Topkapi Palace (including The Holy Relics) which is an incomparably rich treasure-chest, brimming with items of historical importance. We will proceed to Haghia Sophia; undoubtedly one of the greatest architectural creations in the World used as a mosque during Ottomans and serving as a museum today. After a short walk we will reach to fountain of Wilhelm II. After the lunch break at a local restaurant, we will proceed to the Blue Mosque; across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet and known as the Blue Mosque because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. Our last visit will be to the Grand Bazaar which is the oldest and the largest covered market place in the World with nearly 4.000 shops full of rich collections of carpets, jewelry, leather, and souvenirs. Drive back to the hotel for overnight.
After breakfast, free time at leisure… According to your flight schedule, the transfers to airport will be arranged. If you have time in the city before you leave, we can offer you a short panoramic tour to Dolmabahce Palace, Yildiz Palace and Mosque and Ortakoy…
